Create an order and request payment

Step‑by‑step guide for creating an order in the Partner app, requesting payment, and how the customer completes checkout in the Consumer app.

Requirements

Create an order in the Partner app

1Enter customer details and order type
  • Open the Orders tab and tap the + button.
  • Enter the customer’s Email Address.
  • If the account exists, Customer Name autofills; otherwise you cannot create an order for that email.
  • (Optional) Add the customer’s Phone Number.
  • Select Dine‑in or Pickup. For Dine‑in, enter the Table Number.
  • (Optional) Add Server Name under Staff Information.

2Add items
  • Tap Add Item and choose items.
  • Only items payable with money can be added (no points‑redeemable items).
  • Adjust quantities as needed.
  • (Optional) Add Special Instructions.

3Review and create the order
  • Review the Order Summary.
  • Tap Create Order.

4Find the order in Active Orders
  • After creation, the order appears in the Orders tab under Active.

Request payment

5Open the order and tap Request Payment
  • Open the order from Active Orders.
  • Review details; use Edit Order if needed.
  • Tap Request Payment.

6Choose Request in App
  • In the dialog, select Request in App to notify the customer.
  • Confirm your choice.

7Payment requested
  • The order shows Payment requested — In App.
  • Editing is disabled until the order is paid or cancelled.

After you request payment, the customer receives an email and will see the order as Awaiting Payment in the Consumer app.

How the customer pays (Consumer app)

8Customer checks out in the Consumer app
  • The customer signs in with the same email.
  • On Orders, they see AWAITING_PAYMENT and tap Go to Checkout.
  • They complete payment via the standard checkout flow. The order updates to Paid.
