MealMiles (“MealMiles”, “we”, “us”) provides a consumer mobile app that lets you discover restaurants, place orders, and earn loyalty rewards. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Consumer app, our websites, and related services.

Information We Collect

Account info: name, email, password hash.
Order & loyalty data: items, totals, timestamps, points earned/redeemed.
Payment: tokens and limited metadata handled by Stripe. We never store full card numbers.
Communications: support messages and notification preferences.
Device & usage: app version, device identifiers, logs for performance/fraud prevention.
Location (optional): if you grant permission. You can revoke this in your OS settings.

Legal Bases

We process data to perform our contract with you, comply with law, protect our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, security), and with consent where required.

How We Use Information

Provide ordering, rewards, receipts, and support.
Process payments and facilitate restaurant fulfillment.
Improve app features and personalize content.
Send service-related communications (order status, receipts).
Enforce Terms and comply with legal obligations.

We share information with service providers (Stripe, Firebase, analytics, hosting) under contract. Restaurants receive only the information necessary to fulfill your orders. We may disclose information to comply with law, protect rights/safety, or in a corporate transaction.

Your Choices

Manage some profile info in-app; other requests via support@getmealmiles.com.
Control notification preferences in the app.
Manage device permissions (location, push) in system settings.
Opt out of marketing emails via unsubscribe links.

Region-Specific Rights

If you live in California, Canada, EU/UK, or similar regions, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Retention

We keep data as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Data no longer needed is deleted or de-identified.

International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States, Canada, or other countries. Safeguards are applied to protect data during transfers.

Security

We implement reasonable security measures (encryption, access control). No system is completely secure.

Children

Our services are not intended for children under 13 (or minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
